Anela is an influencer and writer who focuses on embracing nuance, imperfection, and joy on her platform Feed The Malik through explorations of food, travel, and more. Anela was named Black Tourism/Hospitality Career Professional of the Year in the 2023 by the Black Travel Summit Victor Awards for her work with Feed The Malik. Anela is also working on a book about the deep and enduring contributions of Black peoples to American cuisine for National Geographic and runs a thriving subscription community where members explore food and beverage on a deeper level through original content, events, and more. She's passionate about connection and community building through travel and has led group trips to Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, and beyond!
